lost senses

he held her close, their eyes met and it was the most wonderful feeling that he had experienced in years ! they stood there for what seemed eternity oblivious to the surrounding. the wind blew slowly wafted across the road, and a strand of hair flew across the face and he didnt want to disturb it. then the moment was broken when the phone rang. it was like an aberration to the entire scene. he let her go to answer the call and he looked across the river from the bridge. it was beautiful with trees all around and the river flowing slowly and not a human in sight. the other side cars were zooming past him and he really wondered the hurry that they were in. he went to that chair and sat and looked at her. there she was jumping and gushing , her usual self on the phone.
she brought back the life in his life he thought he had lost, he seemed to love life, discover what it is to be around a kid. she was full of surprises and this endeared him to her to no extent. he loved the way she spoke with no worry in life, she loved the way she acted like no one was around. sometimes it felt that she had her self untouched by anyone, untarnished by life's thorns. the enthusiasm for life, the excitment for things, the charm she had on others.
"hello, lost in thought again" .. and her voice so well tuned that he smiled and just nodded. he didnt want to talk least it seemed so ordinary in front of those words. "so you know who called ..... " and then she started rambling on for the next 15 minutes ...
