the thin ice

he was lost in the darkness , it was pitch black and he was still and not able to see a thing in front of him. it scared him, there was a sense of fear growing within him.... he dreaded the moment when he would see what lay in front of him. then suddenly in a flash there was a brilliant white light shining all around him. he had to close his eyes and then slowly opened it and looked all around him ... he wondered where he was. there was ice all around him. the ice below and it spread for miles and miles. he looked down , and then there a look of terror on his face. there was a small crack in the ice between his legs. and in an instant it grew faster , the crack became longer ..........

he woke up with a start , the sweat perspiring on his forehead. his breathing was heavy and heart very scared. his mind was jumbled with thoughts ........
